Lillian Catherine Amero

Amero, Lillie Catherine- 94 of Hilltown Rd. passed away June 11, 2010 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital . Born in Plympton, Digby Co. , she was a daughter of the late Ottis and Mamie (Melanson) Amero. She loved all her children and enjoyed going to church and reading her Bible. Lillie was an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Plympton. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing and singing. Surviving are daughters Eunice Mah, BC; Patsy (Herman) Lemmon, Upper Musquodobit, Betty Amero, Weymouth; Linda Sullivan, Weymouth; Blanche (Freeman) Rice, Weymouth North, Nora (Richard) Ford, Hilltown, Juanita (Frank) Gavel, Hilltown, Judy Amero (Weymouth),; sons Keith Amero, (Weymouth) Dennis Amero (Winnipeg); Wayne Amero, Weymouth,; sister Millie Blinn, Digby; brothers Vern Amero, (Calgary); Donnie Amero, (Woods Harbour); 20 grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Russell Amero, and her second husband Ira Amero, sons Raymond and Richard. Visitation will be 8-9pm Monday and 2-4 & 7-9pm Tuesday from the Calvary Baptist Church, Plympton and from where funeral service will be 2pm Wednesday. Pastor Steve Stone will officiate with burial in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Plympton. Donations in memory can be made to Cancer Research of Nova Scotia or to the Calvary Baptist Church, Plympton.
