Hector Joseph Gaudet

Gaudet, Hector Joseph, age 91, of Ohio, Digby Co, passed away in Digby General Hospital on March 9, 2016. Born in Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles and Lottie Gaudet. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church Weymouth, Hector was a painter, a woodsman, hunter and he had a loving smile. He loved to greet people and chat with them at his favorite store, Foodland. He is survived by his sisters, Corine LeBlanc, Yarmouth; Rita (Jerry) Cogliano, Wobourn, Mass.; brothers, Ulysse and Louis, both of Ohio, Digby Co.; best buddy, Derek Doucet, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Juliette, Anita, Doris, and Emily; brothers, Arthur, Luc, Nelson, Wilfred and two siblings in infancy. Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9pm Friday March 11 with prayers at 8pm all from Jayne’s Funeral Home, Weymouth North. Funeral service will be held at 11am Saturday March 12 from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church , Weymouth. Father Tom Kurudeepan will officiate with cremation to follow and burial at a later date in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Weymouth. The family would like to thank the Digby General Hospital staff and Dr. Weir for the care and compassion given to Hector; It is greatly appreciated.
