Gertrude "Gertie" Doucette

DOUCETTE, Gertrude “Gertie” Marie – Age 94 of New Edinburgh passed away November 6, 2016 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in New Edinburg, Gertie was a daughter of the late Augustin and Nellie (Lombard) Raymond. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Gertie Loved to quilt and she enjoyed time at home in her sun parlor watching the water. She was a lifelong member of Weymouth New Horizon Club. Gertie is survived by her daughter, Catherine (Eddie) Dugas; grandchildren, Gerald (Leonie) Dugas, Paulette Dugas, Diane Dugas (Brian Saulnier), Claudette (Ashton) Gavel, Yvette (Leamon) Doucette); great-grandchildren, Brandon, Jennifer, Tylor, Justin, Jeffrey, Erik, Keerie also several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Gertie was predeceased by husband, Charles Doucette, daughter, Elise Deveau; brothers, Exavier Raymond, Walter Raymond, Benny Raymond, Harley Raymond, Alvin Raymond. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 Wednesday November 9 from Jayne’s Funeral Home, Weymouth North. Funeral Mass at 11am, Thursday from downstairs at the St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church.
