Philip John Mariani

Philip John Mariani Sr, 90, formerly of Southington, CT passed away on June 30, 2017, in the company of his son at La Estancia Rehabilitation Center in Phoenix, AZ. Born April 4, 1927 in Hartford, CT, Philip was the son of the late Eva and John Mariani. Philip married Josephine Morello and shared 35 years of marriage until her passing in 1987. He worked at Johnson Gage for 37 years, while raising his family in Hartford, CT. He is survived by their only son Philip J Mariani, Jr., his wife Christine Mariani, his grandson SSG Steven Mariani and his wife SGT Shawntea Mariani of the US Army, his step granddaughter Nicole Mitchell, her husband Keith Mitchell and their daughter Savannah Jade Mitchell. Philip also was predeceased by his second wife, Lucy Mariani of Southington, CT. Philip relocated to Phoenix, AZ where he enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He loved his time at his favorite Senior Center, meeting new friends, and happy to be a part of the Wii bowling team. He was known for his easy going manner and loving spirit. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family, interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery of Harford, CT.
