Nicholas Philip DeMarco, 77, passed away on Thursday, (April 18, 2013), after a brief illness. He was born in White Plains, NY to Maria and Lorenzo DeMarco. He grew up in Hartford and graduated from Hartford Public High School. He raised his family in East Hartford and Wethersfield. He is lovingly survived by his children, Cynthia M. Watts, Nicholas J. DeMarco, Robyn A. DeMarco, Marina DeMarco and Taylor DeMarco; his grandson Tyler James DeMarco; his brother Pat DeMarco, sisters Connie Micek and Laura DeMarco; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Throughout his life Nick was an outstanding athlete, excelling in football, softball and golf. He also had a great passion for coaching and for many years volunteered as an assistant coach at area high schools. He was a fantastic cook and many will remember his dinner parties and get togethers featuring his ""homemade sauce and meatballs"". Extremely generous to friends and families he was beloved by a tremendous amount of people of all ages, touching the lives and souls of so many of us.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Church, 767 Elm St., Rocky Hill. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. The burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours are Sunday, 2-5 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield.
