Catherine (Pelletier) Joseph, 97, of Wethersfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Manchester Manor. Born in Waterville, Maine on December 17, 1924, she was the daughter of the late George and Andrenette (Veilleux) Pelletier. Catherine was a past member of the Wethersfield Senior Hiking Group and the Wethersfield Garden Club. She was also a past member of the Wethersfield Historical Society and past Secretary and President of the Rosary Society. Catherine was an avid fan of the UConn Women’s Basketball team. She devoted her life to raising her family.
A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Catherine will be forever missed by her five children, Stephen Joseph and partner Vicki Weaver of Colchester, David Joseph and wife JoAnn of Manchester, Daniel Joseph of Colchester, Lorna Joseph of Manchester and Paula Joseph and husband Charles Sorden of Killingworth; four grandchildren, John and his wife Lori, David and his wife Beth, Sarah and Dawn and six great-grandchildren, Alexis, Aliviah, William, JJ, Caleb and Elyse. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Catherine was predeceased by her husband George Joseph as well as her 10 siblings; Roland Pelletier, Gloria Nabarowsky, Shirley Prevost, Reginald Pelletier, Gerald Pelletier, Donald Pelletier, Joan LeVea, Julia Pelletier, Carol Dudley and Nancy Belanger.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 30 from 9-10:30 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Parish (Sacred Heart Church), 56 Hartford Avenue, Wethersfield.
