Virginia was raised along with her brothers Elmer and Robert, by her parents Elmer and Mary Nabstedt (Hulsebosch) in Cresskill NJ. She graduated from Tenafly High School and later worked as a secretary in NYC.
Virginia was a loving individual who adored the outdoors and cherished traveling with her husband, Jim, exploring the USA, Europe, and Canada. She found joy in wintering in Florida and took great delight in helping raise her grandchildren in their youth.
A talented woman, Virginia had a variety of hobbies including painting, sewing, gardening, collecting antiques, and fishing. Her creative spirit and love for nature shone through in all her endeavors.
Virginia is survived by her son James Hiller Jr.; daughter Amy Griffin: son-in-law, Paul Griffin; grandson, Ryan Griffin; granddaughter, Kelly Griffin; and nephew, Eric Nabstedt, She was preceded in death by her husband James Hiller Sr., siblings Elmer Nabstedt, Robert Nabstedt, and sisters in law Helen Nabstedt and Marianne Nabstedt.
Virginia will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April, 4th from 5pm -8pm at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675. Interment will be held on Friday April, 5th at 12:30pm at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
