She married Oystein Holm-Olsen in 1960 and they soon moved to Leonia, NJ where she raised their four children and lived for over 30 years. She and her husband separated in 1981.
Before moving to Maywood, Shirley spent many happy years living in her high-rise Guttenberg apartment overlooking the Hudson River, enjoying and sharing with friends and family her spectacular views of the New York City skyline.
