Robert W. Dougherty

Dougherty, Robert William, 95, on Friday, January 19, 2018 of the Twp. of Washington. Beloved husband of Josephine (nee Saroldi). Devoted father of Robert, Jr. and his late wife Faith; step-father of Diane Fimiano, James Paccagnini and his wife Laura, Gary Paccagnini and his wife Karen. Loving grandfather of Dawn, Lisa, Michele, Tara, Denise, David, Joseph, Sandra, Alison and the late Michael Dougherty. Great grandfather of Mathew, Daniel, Meghan and Owen.

Born in Paterson and has lived in the Twp. of Washington since 1957. Robert was a steamfitter with the Pipefitters Union, Local # 274- Parsippany and a member of his local for 70 years. Robert served in the US Navy with the Seabees during WWII. He was an active member of Hillsdale United Methodist Church, Hillsdale.

Visitation at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood on Monday 9-11 am, with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Laurel Grove Memorial Park , Totowa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Memory of Robert to Hillsdale United Methodist Church, 349 Hillsdale Ave, Hillsdale, NJ 07642.
