Peter Daniel Kinder, 81, of Manchester Township, N.J., formerly of Montvale, N.J., passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was a devoted husband for 56 years to wife, Dolores (nee Francis), loving father to son, Christopher of Saddle Brook, N.J. (partner Marilyn Poole), daughter Danielle Perrotto, son-in-law Frank Perrotto of Westfield, N.J., adoring grandfather to granddaughters Lucca and Reid, brother to Susan Turconi of Venice, Fl., uncle to Beth Turconi, Megan Morris and the rest of his many nieces and nephews.
He was born on December 22, 1941 in Teaneck, N.J. to Anne M. (nee McGrath) and Percy Kinder. After graduating Ridgefield Park High School in 1960, alongside several friends he enlisted in the Navy, where he served as an airplane engineer. He continued to pursue his love of aviation for over 50 years while working for various companies; primarily Flying Tigers and Federal Express.
He was an avid reader who enjoyed discussing politics and world history. Through his work experiences, he would often tell riveting stories of his own close calls and brushes with history. He was also an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. But there was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with family and friends, hosting great parties, and ending the day with a scotch on the rocks.
