Mark Luther

Mark J. Luther, 65, of Park Ridge, NJ, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022. Beloved husband of Lisa Ann Luther (nee Maffei). Devoted father of Jennifer and Eric Luther. Dear brother of Ray and Paul Luther. Mark grew up in Union City, NJ and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Industrial Engineering. He held executive positions at Volvo, Ferrari and Ducati before retiring.

Mark married his childhood sweetheart Lisa in 1983 after eight years of dating and they bought their first home in Washington Township then moved to Park Ridge where they raised their two beautiful children, Jennifer and Eric, both their pride and joy. They had the privilege of touching six decades of life together filled with many very fond memories shared with family and friends and loved entertaining and opening their home to all. Mark had an unparalleled sense of family, both immediate and extended, loved music of all kinds, enjoyed playing golf and vacationing in Bermuda. His greatest life accomplishment was raising Jennifer and Eric and shaping and championing Eric’s love of soccer, baseball and golf and loving Jen in his own special private ways. Mark was known for his dry wit and the more he teased you the more he loved you.

Life came full circle for Mark this past year and he knew, felt and reciprocated the outpouring of love and support from Lisa, Jen and Eric who were by his side every day until his passing. The family would like to thank the many friends, family members and health care professionals who supported Mark and his family especially during these past months.

Visitation will be held at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Tuesday, August 16 from 3-7PM. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 17 at 11AM.
