Marie Mongiardo

Marie Antoinette Mongiardo, age 102, of Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024. Marie was born in a small town on a hill in southern Italy and enjoyed her childhood there with her two brothers, Dante and Remo and her baby sister Lydia. At age 11 her family immigrated to Brooklyn, NY where she finished her schooling and became a seamstress. She spent her years taking care of her parents and enjoyed spending time with her extended family. Her passion for cooking and sewing was something she shared with all she loved. Most recently, Marie lived at Sunrise in Woodcliff Lake, NJ, where she was a long-standing part of their community. Marie peacefully passed away in her bed at Sunrise at 102 years old, on her mother's birthday. We will all miss her terribly but know she is finally at peace and reunited with so many that went before her. She lives on in her family that will fondly remember her always.

A funeral mass for Marie will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Kilian Parish, 485 Conklin St, Farmingdale, NY 11735. Following the funeral mass will be a funeral from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at St. Charles / Resurrection Cemeteries, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
