Manuel Moreno

Manuel Moreno, 52 , of River Vale, NJ, passed away on June 2, 2022. He was born in Wollongong, Australia to Jose and Antonia Moreno. It was during a trip to Spain in 1997 that Manuel met his future wife, Siobhan. The 10,000-mile distance between Australia and New Jersey could not deter Manuel and Siobhan from being together. Manuel immigrated to the United States on June 4, 2000 and wed Siobhan on June 10, 2000.

While their time together was cut too short, Manuel and Siobhan had a beautiful 22 years together. Manuel was an avid music fan; had a tremendous sense of humor; was always the first to arrive and the last to leave a party; and put family before everything else.

In addition to his wife, Manuel is survived by his three adoring daughters, Olivia, Isabella, and Lana. He is also survived by his mother, Antonia, his sister Toni (Mark), brother Joe (Nina), niece Natalie (Travis), nephew Anthony and great niece, Lara, all in Australia. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews in the United States. Manuel is predeceased by his father, Jose, his father in-law, James McGowan, and his mother in-law, Patricia McGowan.

The family will receive their relatives and friends on June 5, 2022 from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood. A Mass celebrating Manuel’s life will be held on June 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 2 Fremont Avenue, Park Ridge, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family for the children’s education are appreciated.
