John J. Sapio, 82, of Montvale, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Lorraine Sapio. Devoted father of Mary Ann Borowski and her husband Frank, Karen Nicosia and her husband Christopher, Michele Sapio and Stephen Sapio. Dear brother of Lucy Vozila and her husband John, Mary Ann Lynch and her husband Brian and the late Fred Sapio. Loving grandfather of Anthony and Victoria Borowski, Justin, Thomas, Gianna and the late Ashley Marie Nicosia, and Hunter Sapio. Born in Brooklyn, New York on October 8, 1941, John lived in Montvale, NJ for over 50 years. He was employed with New York Telephone, AT&T and Lucent Technologies for over 40 years. The family will receive their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ, on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. A Mass celebrating John’s life and faith will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Presentation, Upper Saddle River, NJ. Interment at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ.
