Born the sixth of twelve children to Emmett and Emma Gibson in Nashville, MI. She lived in Hillsdale for 58 years. Beloved wife of the late Charles Schwab, Devoted mother of Michael (Naomi) Schwab and Mary Lou(Poul) Carstensen. Loving grandmother of Kristina, Poul, Teresa and Charles, great grandmother of Cecilia and Olivia. Dear sister of Mary Lou Hansen, Ann Klitzner, Alcie Barnes and Barbara Fitzgibbon. While in School, Mrs. Schwab was a talented athlete and pioneer in women’s sports, recently honored in her High School Hall of Fame. After raising her children, she worked as a secretary at Mercedes- Benz until her retirement. She was a member of St. John’s R.C. Church, Hillsdale.
Visitation will be at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, on Monday 5-8 pm. A funeral mass celebrating her life and faith will be held on Tuesday at St. John’s the Baptist R.C. Church, Hillsdale at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Westwood Cemetery, Westwood.
