Sung Suk was born August 15, 1933, the youngest and only sister to three brothers, to her parents Hyun June Oh and Shin Eun Park in Korea. In 1960 she met Stilson (Colonel) while working as a secretary and fell for the dapper Army Officer. They married in 1963 and she moved to California with her new husband and daughter Aelee and soon had a son Arthur.
She never met a dessert she didn’t like and had a viscous sweet tooth. She was perpetually concerned that you hadn’t eaten, attempting to feed everyone she loved at every given opportunity. She was fiercely proud of her two grandchildren, Chelsea and Ash, of whom she bragged about to any who would listen. She spoiled those two rotten, a testament to her generosity. She loved crafting in her early years, teaching her grandchildren how to sew, knit and crochet, passing on invaluable skills that they will carry with them forever. She was an avid reader and loved herself a Stephen King novel. In her later years, she loved nothing more than rewatching Game of Thrones with Chelsea and Ash, and spending time with her family, usually eating (mostly dessert). She had impeccable taste and was the epitome of class, just ask Chanel and Louis, they’ll tell you. Ever the jokester, her wry and sarcastic sense of humor was never spared from any she loved. Her sassy remarks and clever quips were her faithful companion until her end.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father, three brothers, her husband, her sausage dogs Goofy and Daffy, and her grand-dog Winston. She is survived by her daughter and son, her two grandchildren, her grandson-in-law Jason, and all who are blessed enough to get to hear her stories. She will be missed everyday at every moment. We will never see her like again.
