Dear Miranda Family, 

With a heavy heart, we (George and Desiree Hernandez) want to send you our deepest condolences.
As we cannot join you during this hard time of great lost, we want to you to know that our hearts and minds are with you. When we left California, we grieved of not being able to see our lovely neighbors and now, even more grieving that I won't be able to see Joe, again. He is one of the highlights of our neighborhood. George's days with conversation with Joe were the brighter days. And I, look at every rare plumerias in Texas with the thought of Joe and Miranda family and our love of this flower. Joe passed away on my birthday. I went to a new job that didn't recognize my day. That day were glum for me as I worked at St. David's Hospital cafeteria. I join you all in spirits of your great loss.
On Christmas Eve, George cooked his first delicious tamales and after we devoured it, we thought about Joe's Holiday invitations. When we learned of his leaving, from a FB post, (both of us in disbelief), he said - Next time I make the tamales, Joe should visit me so I can show him how I learned to make tamales. 
From the bottom of our hearts, we wished to join you tomorrow. It is to our regret that our poor planning will not allow us due many situations. Our prayers are with you and until we meet again. Joe is one big-hearted person that is hard to forget.

I worked with Pam for ten years and there were moments when she would share her love and concern about Joe and other family members.  I‘be never had the pleasure to meet Joe but everything Pam said about him displayed her love and loyalty to him.  Cindee and I send our deepest condolences to you and your family.

My cousin “Yo Yo” moved to our home when he came from Mexico. His dad and my dad, Jesus Miranda, were brothers. He worked very hard at a car wash in Anaheim, and I’m proud to say he worked very hard to achieve the “American Dream” along with his lovely wife, Pam.
When he wasn’t at work, he would bring his joy and laughter to our home. He would often walk me to a Thrifty store to buy me an ice cream. He once bought me this huge inflatable pink bunny for Easter! 
He was a beautiful soul, and I look forward to seeing him again in Heaven.

My heartfelt condolences to the family of Joe Miranda.  Joe and I are first cousins.  My mother Ofelia was Joe's paternal aunt.  It was December 28, 2021 that out of the blue I got a telephone call from Joe.  We reminisced for more than an hour and agreed to stay in touch.  We discovered that we both shared an enthusiasm for talking about our past as Miranda family members.
