Maria Victoria Gorospe Fernandez

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Victoria “Vicky” Gorospe Fernandez on September 9, 2024, at the age of 62. Born in Bantay, Ilocos Sur, Philippines on July 28, 1962, Vicky lived a life filled with love, warmth, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends.

Vicky was the beloved daughter of the late Ildefonso Gorospe, Sr. and Valentina Palacpac Gorospe. She was also preceded in death by her brother Iluminado. She honored her family’s memory through her devotion and love for her own family and community.

She is survived by her beloved husband, George and their three children Maryvi Jamaica, Daryll and Corinne Gizelle. Vicky is also survived by her sister Marissa, and her brothers Jesus, Ildefonso, Jr., Indalesio, and Benedicto.

She was a devoted housewife who took pride in raising three wonderful children. She enjoyed the time spent playing with our beloved family dog, Tala. In her free time she also enjoyed cross-stitching, she filled her home with beautifully framed pieces of her work. Vicky found joy in sewing, frequently designing and crafting her own clothes with skill and imagination. Vicky treasured family road trips, whether exploring California or traveling abroad. She loved capturing memories through photos and sharing them with others, allowing everyone to experience the joy of her adventures. Her love for gardening provided her with great satisfaction. Vicky had a special fondness for yellow flowers, which never failed to brighten her day and perfectly captured her warm and cheerful spirit.

Vicky was not just a devoted wife and mother but a nurturing presence in the lives of those who knew her. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community. Though her passing leaves an irreplaceable void, Vicky's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.

A visitation for Maria Victoria "Vicky" Gorospe Fernandez will take place on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park, Mortuary & Crematory, 5600 Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village, CA.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 10:00 AM, followed by her interment at 11:00 AM at the same location. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and to honor Vicky's life and legacy.
