Jeannie grew up in Beatrice, NE where she attended Saint Joseph’s School. She graduated from Saint Elizabeth’s School of Nursing in Lincoln NE in 1959. While living in Lincoln, she met Larry, the love of her life. They were married on April 23, 1960.
Together they had three children, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Pamela (Michael) Joyce: Thomas (Caitlin), Steven, Kenneth and Jeffrey Joyce. Michael (Cathy) Lutz: Karlie (Matthew) McTavish, Hannah and Jack Lutz. Kathleen (Kevin) Kane: Megan (Sean) Slattery, Matthew and Eric Kane. Great grandsons: Nolan and Owen Slattery, Cade McTavish.
Forever loved by so many, including her sisters Mary Harris Basko; Casper, Wyoming and Sister Cecilia (Dorothy) Olson; Atchison, Kansas, as well as many adoring nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Jeannie and Larry were world travelers, enjoying many cruises and trips overseas. She loved to garden, entertain and cook. She shared her compassionate talents with several organizations, including The Model A Club, Westlake Yacht Club and Senior Concerns. She was a faithful member of St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church. Above all, she cherished time spent with her wonderful husband, children and their families.
Welcoming her to heaven are her parents, Mabel and Chick Olson, parents in-law Russell and Wilma Lutz, brothers-in-law Denny and Dale Lutz, James Harris and grandson Kenneth Joyce.
