Fred was born on April 20, 1913 in Scaly Mountain, N.C., and passed away on April 17, 2012 in Thousand Oaks, CA. He is survived by his four children: Barbara, Gayle, Linda, and Rick along with 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. There will be a viewing on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 6pm to 9pm, and a service on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 1pm at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks – Griffin Mortuary in Westlake Village.
