Born on a naval base in Maryland on April 30th, 1955, Dan was raised in Philadelphia, PA by his parents, the late Joseph G. Worton, Sr. and Anna H. (Torba) Worton. A hardworking individual, Dan earned his MBA from Temple University and later attained his CPA license. He worked as an auditor for the IRS and an accountant for DuPont and Hercules prior to starting his own business, Tax Matters, Inc., which he successfully ran for over 20 years. A jack-of-all trades, he also performed printer repair services and home improvement services during his off-season.
Dan had many hobbies, including collecting vinyl records and bowling, and enjoyed meeting new people, but he was most happy spending time with his family. In 2020, Dan relocated with his wife Doreen to California to be closer to their daughter, son-in-law, and grandson.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, with an unmatched sense of humor and intelligence, Dan will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Dan is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 44 years, Doreen (Hart) Worton, daughter, Christine K. LoMonaco, son-in-law, Michael LoMonaco, and grandson, Charles LoMonaco; siblings Joanne Yankovoy (Michael), John Worton, Stephen Worton (Jennifer), and Joseph G.
