Conrad Anthony Gradi

Conrad Anthony Gradi, beloved Father and Grandfather passed away on November 12, 2024, at the age of 91. He was born in Chicago, Illinois to Harry and Linda Gradi, and later welcomed a younger brother, Harry Jr. His childhood was spent in Chicago and upon his graduation from St. Mel's High School, he and his family relocated to California, where he created roots for the rest of his life.

Conrad always displayed a strong work ethic, a trait passed down from his father, exemplified through his commitment to boxing, spending a brief time fighting professionally before proudly serving our country for four years in the US Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. Upon his return, he continued to help support his family and found a career with the Los Angeles DWP, starting as an apprentice and working to become a supervisor while raising a family and going to school to become a licensed electrician.

Conrad loved music and loved to dance. He had a kind heart and a wicked sense of humor. He adored his Italian Heritage, and upon retirement, he had the chance to visit the birthplace of his parents with the love of his life, his late wife, Colleen.

Although Conrad suffered extreme loss late in his life - losing his son Nicolas Frank Gradi, brother Harry Gradi, and his wife, Colleen, he continued to bring his boisterous personality to family gatherings and always laughed at a good joke.

He will be missed by those who love him dearly. He is survived by his daughter Linda DiMariano and son Anthony Gradi, his grandchildren Nicole, Gabrielle, and Dominic DiMariano, Ashley Gamache, his blended family, Gina Rondinelli, Lisa Austin, Gregg and David Rondinelli and grandchildren, Morgan Ross, Matthew and Alex Austin, Marlon Rondinelli, Nicolina, and Giovanna Rondinelli.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass on December 7, 2024 at 12:00 noon St Jude’s Catholic Church, 32032 Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake, California 91361.

In Lieu of flowers, the family has asked to make donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
