He was born on December 5, 1920 to John and Leora Weaver, in Lewiston, Idaho. He spent many years in Livermore, California, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Newbury Park, California.
Robert was a chemical engineer at Sandia Laboratories after receiving his engineering degree at Washington State University in 1942, and later, his Master’s degree from San Jose State. He was a master craftsman and woodworker and a volunteer firefighter/paramedic in Albuquerque. Robert was a First Lieutenant in the Army during World War II and was proud of his veteran status. He enjoyed camping trips with his family, and especially loved hiking in the Grand Canyon with his sons and grandsons. He rode his bike to church every Sunday until his early eighties, where he enjoyed singing in the choir at the United Methodist Church of Westlake Village.
The family greatly appreciates the love and dedication of his caretakers Rhea and Nimfa, and Buena Vista Hospice. Donations to this caring organization are greatly appreciated.
Robert is survived by his sons: Tim Weaver (Mary Jane) of Agoura Hills, CA, Phillip Weaver (Becky) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Clifford Weaver (Sheila) of Albuquerque, New Mexico).
