Robert Clark Christy

Robert Clark Christy, age 92, of Akron, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022. Robert was born March 23, 1930 in Pittsburgh, Pa. Son of Kenneth Clark Christy and Gertrude Cecelia Christy (nee Loper) (both deceased).

Dearly beloved husband of 68 years to Beatrice B. (nee Hoover), loving father of Beverly (Scott) Wilkinson, Bob (Mindy) Christy, and the following deceased Jill, Kimberly and Kenneth, dearest grandfather of Lauren Christy, Bethany Christy, Nina, Kara, and Bennett Wilkinson, great grandfather of Marilyn and Zachary Garza, dear brother of Beverly (Tom, deceased) Kosalec, Linda Yentsch, and Kathy (Bernie) Scacchitti, dear uncle and friend of many.

Bob was a Korean War veteran serving as a member of the United States Marines. He was a long time employee and retiree of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and the Goodyear Aerospace Co. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing cards with friends and traveling.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Commital Services with military honors Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 11 AM at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2580 Romig Road, Akron OH 44320. Followed by a Memorial Services at Springfield Fellowship Church, 830 Ewart Road, Akron OH 44312 at 12:30 PM and a luncheon afterwards.
