Robert Glenn Vidrine, age 78, of Westlake, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024. Glenn was born on June 29, 1946 in Ville Platte, Louisiana to James Bernard Vidrine and Annie Soileau Vidrine.
Glenn proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Glenn was a longtime member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church, served in the KC's, and the American Legion. Glenn enjoyed gardening and football but especially the Saints and LSU.
Glenn was preceded by his son, Andrew Paul Vidrine and his parents.
Those to left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Judy B Vidrine; daughter, Angela Vidrine Harrison and husband, Jay; grandchildren, Brittany Elizabeth Broussard (Cory), Haley Harrison Lange (Hunter), Dale Gage Vidrine, and Aaron Scott Harrison; brothers, Randy Vidrine (Angela), and Wendell Vidrine (Florence); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until time of service at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Westlake. A Rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Jenesh Joseph, H. G. N. under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Burial will begin at 1:30 p.m. in Bellevue Cemetery 4833 LA-182, Opelousas, LA 70570.
