He was born to parents James and Marilyn Johnson on October 05, 1947, in Sulphur, LA.
Calvin was a man who enjoyed spending time outdoors and activities such as fishing and hunting. He was also very patriotic; he was a Vietnam veteran and a military police officer in the United States Air Force. He loved his family dearly, especially his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James B. Johnson and Marilyn Ripley Johnson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Heather Johnson of Westlake, LA; son, Heath Johnson (Fiance Amy Demarie) of Moss Bluff, LA; Calvin's companion, Shirley Dunn of Carlyss, LA; sister, Sabra Johnson of Fairhope, AL; brother, Jaceson Johnson(Donna) of Westlake, LA; and grandchildren, Gavin, Payton and Bryce Johnson, all of Westlake, LA.
Those who are honored to be pallbearers will be Heather Johnson, Heath Johnson, Josh Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Gavin Johnson, and Bryce Johnson.
In Lieu of flowers, the family would like to ask that donations be made to SWLA Whitetails Unlimited in Calvin's name. This foundation introduces wounded war heroes & youth to hunting & fishing. Their number is 337-884-0431
The family would like to invite relatives and family to Hixson Westlake, for a visitation, held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Visitation will resume on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 9:00 AM, at Hixson Westlake, until the time of service at 11:30 AM.
Burial will be at Magnolia Cemetery, 1100 McKinley St., Westlake, Louisiana.
