Sheila Diana Mary Harris

March 19, 1935 – December 24, 2019.

Predeceased by father John (Jack) William Harris, Jr., mother Clara Lillian Harris and brother John William Harris III. She is survived by her Aunt Denise Naylor and Cousins Chris Naylor, Glen Naylor, Todd Naylor, Lisa Barker, Malcolm Campbell and Di McMahen.

Sheila was born at St. Josephs Hospital Victoria B.C. Her father’s business with the Bank of Montreal had the family move to many small communities before settling in Vancouver. Sheila worked for over 25 years at Lions Gate Hospital as a ward clerk. She loved music and really enjoyed to travel. Her adventurous spirit led her to visit many places but she had a special affinity for Hawaii and the music of Don Ho. She was involved with the church choir and was a member of St. Catherine’s Anglican, North Vancouver and St. Steven’s Anglican, West Vancouver. In addition she volunteered her time to her local community centre.

Sheila passed away peacefully at Cedarview Lodge, North Vancouver on Christmas Eve Day. The family would like to thank Cedarview Lodge for the wonderful care Sheila received while in residence. We would also like to thank family friend Hew Gwynne for all his care and attention to both Sheila and John over the years.

A Memorial Service is to be held at 11:00am on Monday February 24, 2020 at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, 885 22nd Ave. West Vancouver. If friends have photos or memories that they would like to have included in the memorial service they can forward them to Lisa Barker at [email protected].
