Mary Gwendolyn Turland

Mary died peacefully November 15th,2022 at the age of 96 with her family beside her. She is predeceased by her husband Doug, her parents Thomas and Pauline and her brother Ted. She leaves behind her sister Sybil, children, Jane (Mark), Kirk (Allison), her grandchildren, Elliot (Melissa), Morgan, Ashley (Chris), Ben (Megan), Madeline (Dane), as well as her great grandchildren, Abigail, James, Monica, Xavier, Gabriel, Sophia and Elizabeth.

Mary enjoyed a fulfilling life. Living most of it on the North Shore where she raised a family with the love of her life, her husband Doug. After raising her family, she returned to work as a Nurse at Lions Gate Hospital. She loved being a nurse and helping people. When she was not working, she enjoyed spending time at the family cottage on Worlcombe Island with her family and friends. There are many memories of skiing holidays, summers at Christina Lake, and travelling the world with Doug and friends. Mary was respected and loved by her many friends and colleagues. A Celebration of Life with be held next Spring. Please contact the family for details.
