Dear Karen and family,
Wayne Frank advised me of Barrie’s passing and the memories flowed back. I first met Barrie back in the late 60’s – I think at Skyways but then we were so close through all the Conair years with Les Kerr and the gang. Barrie was just a about a year younger than me so that adds to the closeness too. 
You and I made fun in London once when I gave a speech of sorts as any insurance guys do but for me it was never about the business. It was about a super nice guy and years of great company.
Please accept my most heartfelt condolences for you and the kids – even for that one with the neat name.

Barry was such a true leader and I first met him while with Transport Canada.  Over 30 years we followed Conair Aviation, his team and his dedication to innovation and safety.   He cared about the aviation industry and supported the British Columbia Aviation Council over many years through dedication and scholarships. Barry was a great leader, having great respect for his employees. He always went out of the way, even it was just to say 'Hello' while conducting Hanger tours with his future Clients. It was an honour when he sat with our family to witness the graduation of our Daughter as a Sheet Metal Technician. Our thoughts and Prayers go to Karen, Kristina, Michelle, Darcy, Danielle and entire Conair Family Past and Present. 

Barry was an inspiration to us all.  We will miss his guidance and vision.  I have many memories of Barry but the one that meant the most to me is when he walk by, not saying a word, squeezed my shoulder that meant everything was going to be OK.  Deepest condolences to Karen, Kristina, Michelle, Darcy and Danielle.

I am so shocked and at a huge loss for this man who was a mentor to me.WE talked alot about many things and not just aviation at Cascade and Conair. I helped him out and he helped me with invaluable experience on how to conduct myself when things were heated and not working in a smooth manner
I am so sorry for his family and a great daughter I loved like a sister.
RIP my friend and I will see you soon
