Richard F Lamoreaux

He was born March 1, 1933, in Preston, Idaho to Orell Fred and Mary Amelia (Mae) Lamoreaux. He married Kay LaRee Lamoreaux on May 1, 1980 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He honorably served his country in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He later worked as a machinist and piano tuner.

Richard was blessed with tremendous musical talent, including a beautiful singing voice which he shared with the world. He was an esteemed member of and soloist with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he faithfully held several callings.

For fun, he enjoyed singing, painting, woodworking, fishing, golfing, flying, acting, watching anything with John Wayne and making others laugh.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kay Eakle Lamoreaux; his children, Jose Davis, Richard (Kathy) Lamoreaux, Sheri (Susan) Lamoreaux, stepson Michael Baird, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Thomas, Alan, and Jon; sister Nancy Lu and half-sister Pat, daughter Lizette, and stepson David Baird.

Funeral services will be held December 9, 2023 at 11:00 am at The Church Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4310 South 3200 West, West Valley City. Family and friends may visit Friday, December 8, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, and December 9, 2023 beginning at 9:30 am prior to services at the church.
