1957 - 2013
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend Randy passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on July 1, 2013 due to AML, Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
Randy was born on January 18, 1957, to Eldon Butters and Lora Ann Tuft in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Randy and Lee, his best friend and the love of his life, joined hands together on October 9, 1987. They have been inseparable since that day. Together they journeyed through life along with their 6 children making many happy and very memorable memories. Randy had a very loving and generous heart. He loved his family greatly and would do anything at any time for anyone who needed him. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to go hunting, fishing, camping, boating, everything outdoors. He especially enjoyed these times with his wife and family by his side. One of Randy’s greatest joys was being a Jr. Jazz coach for his youngest son C.Jay along with several other boys who he adored. Randy was in construction most of his adult life. He enjoyed building custom homes. He was employed with Accent Surfaces (RMI) at the time of his death.
Randy is survived by his wife Lee, children, Amy (Mike) McBride, Troy (Christy) Kent, Travis Butters, Melissa Mowbray, Lacey (Travis) Karsten, C.Jay Butters & Candace Hill, 11 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, his Dad and Cherri, numerous other family members and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Valley View Memorial Park Funeral Home, 4335 W 4100 S West Valley, UT. A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2013 from 5 to 7 pm at Valley View Memorial Funeral Home as well as one hour prior to services. Interment at Valley View Memorial Park Cemetery.
