Mary Elaine Webb

Mary Elaine Stanley Webb returned to her Heavenly home on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at the age of 94 surrounded by her loving family. Elaine was born September 10, 1922, in Provo, Utah to Clayton Lindford Stanley and Mary Amelia Hicken. She married her eternal companion Glenn Dean Webb on September 1, 1941, in the Salt Lake Temple.

Mom spent her last hours in what she called a “family party”. She was a very social person and loved visiting with family and friends. She enjoyed her time at Carrington Court Assisted Living center and made many friends there. Mom had a gentle and loving personality and was always happy and content with her surroundings, friends and family.

Throughout her life Elaine served in many church callings, including over twenty five years in Primary and sharing her seamstress talents in designing and sewing costumes for numerous Road Shows.

Along with being a care giver as wife, mother and grandmother she cared for her mother and her mother- in- law in their older years.

One of the highlights in her life was traveling around the United States with her sister, Louise Wright.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband Dean, her parents, brother Bert Stanley, sisters Louise Wright, Dorothy Neilsen and Beatrice Lindsay. She is survived by her children: Thomas (DeAnn) Webb, Juanita (Terry) Jones, Janie (Gene Slack) and Elaine (Bob) Stilson, 14 grand children, 34 great grand children and 8 great great grand children along with her sisters Hellen Stanley, LaRae Stanley and Phyllis Carson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at the Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah at 11:00 a.m. For those that would like to pay their respects, a viewing will be held Monday, May 29, 2017, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the same funeral home. Internment: Valley View Memorial Park.
