She was born on October 29th, 1936, in Salt Lake City, UT, to Archibald and Sybil Graham. She attended West High School, where she met and later married her Sweetie, Blaine Smith. They were married on March 2, 1956, and later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Margie had 3 kids, whom she loved with all of her heart, David O. Smith, Linda Mitchell (Greg) and Carri Smith. She also had 5 grandchildren, Lindsey, Whitney, Jordan, Lauren, Chase and six great grandchildren, Lilly, Buzz, Rhett, Parker, Madi and Bray. Margie loved her grandchildren, and always looked forward to visiting with them, or FaceTiming them. She was an avid reader and loved going to plays with her neighborhood friends. Christmas was Margie’s favorite time of year, her home and yard were always beautifully decorated.
Margie was the youngest in her family, she was preceded in death by both parents and five siblings, she was also preceded in death by her son David.
Due to Covid-19, private graveside services will be held Monday July 6th, 2020, at Valley View Memorial Park. The family would like to thank her special caregiver, Jamie Rushton, for her tireless help and love in the last couple years of Margie’s life. We would also like to thank the staff of Inspirations Hospice, for their care and compassion. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT.
