Cathrine Marie Hatch Potter at age 87 passed away Thursday April 28, 2016 in the city of Holladay, Utah. She was born August 6, 1928 in Salina, Utah. to Alpheus Oratio Hatch and Johanna Olsen. Graduated from Richfield High. Married Glen G. Potter on April 4, 1949. She was a devoted member of the LDS Religion.
She was our mom, dad, and hero! She made our house a home and raised five children while caring for daddy. She baked, canned, sewed, painted and gardened-yes- she did it all. She was the best mom, grandma, great grandma and friend.
She was a licensed Beautician, loved bowling, camping, and trips to Wendover and Las Vegas. She taught all of her kids the pleasures and excitement of deer hunting; (oh boy did we have fun). She was a pillar in every possible way with anything and anyone she came in contact with. She was always the go to person. Always a twinkle in her eye and a smile on her face, you were drawn in by her stories, wisdom and laughter. She was the first to say “How do you know if you don’t try it.”
A special thanks to the Valeo Hospice Care, Cara there should be more people like you! Kerry, so patient and understanding.
“”POTTER” we love and will miss you. Rest in Paradise and we will start a new journey when we see you again.
She is survived by her children Steven & (Louise), Nancy, Joann Johnson all of West Valley City, and David & (Mary) of Las Vegas. 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by husband Glen, daughter Yvonne, parents Alpheus and Johanna, brothers Vernal, Rufus, Ellis, Keith and Lester LaMar, sisters LuDella and Ivie.
