Carma Vee Nielsen James February 1, 1930 - November 10, 2024, Taylorsville Utah, passed away at home. Carma was born in Marysvale, UT to Grant and LaPreal Nielsen. She loved growing up in Marysvale and shared many, many stories. Carma married Ralph G. "Huck" James on June 25, 1949. Together they raised three children: Linda, Dennis (Charlene), and Alana. She has five grandchildren: Brandon (Dawn), Stacy (Doug), Damon (DeEtte), Chance, and Madison. She also has three great grandchildren: Justin, Nick and Kody.
Carma worked at Northrop Grumman/Litton Industries for 30+ years before retiring. Carma loved shopping, sewing, golfing, traveling, and spending time with her family taking them on many cruises.
She is survived by her children, brother Dell and sister Joy. She is preceded in death by her husband Huck, parents, sisters Jerry Lee and Kay.
The family would like to thank Jodee and Shiloh with A-Plus Healthcare and Susan with Senior Helpers, for their kindness and support these past couple of months. Mom looked forward to their visits and sharing her stories with them.
A Celebration of Life Open House will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, 11am to 1pm at Valley View Memorial Funeral Home, 4335 W 4100 S, West Valley City, UT 84120.
