Bonnie Arlene Hecker
1932 – 2023
Payson, Utah - On Tuesday Aug 22, 2023, at 9:00am, we lost our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend Arlene Hecker.
Arlene was born November 12, 1932, in Provo, UT. She was the oldest of three children born to Donald Bryant Colby & Benita Barber Colby. Arlene was born into a musical family, and music would always play an important part of Arlene's life. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing.
She married John Sterling Davis on January 6, 1956. They were the parents of six children which included a set of twins. Arlene was a caring and busy mom. John & Arlene later divorced.
Arlene married Charles Donald Kuehn on February 27, 1981. They were close companions until his death on April 28, 2002.
Arlene was then married to Eugene Burton Hecker on September 17, 2005, and later sealed for Time and All Eternity in the Jordan River Temple. They served each other lovingly until her death this week.
Arlene loved to knit for her entire life. She donated her baby blankets and scarves to anyone who needed a warm hug.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held many callings, including Ward Chorister, which she loved.
Later in life, she loved talking to any and all who would talk to her and many friends at Church wherever she lived. She had a strong testimony of the Savior and His Church.
Arlene is preceded in death by her parents, her brother (Jarrell), and her son (Ronald). She is survived by her husband, Eugene Hecker, her sister, Joyce Miller, and five of her children: Bryant & Beverly of High Point, NC, Denise and Ed Cabral of Paso Robles, CA, Jason and Loretta of Colorado Springs, CO, Preston and Marty of Payson, UT and John & Alesa of Millcreek, UT. She is the grandmother to 22 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday August 29, 2023, at 11AM at 9824 Flint Drive in Sandy, UT.
Interment will follow at 1PM at Valley View Memorial Park 4400 W 4100 S in West Valley City, UT.
