Smitty you will be missed. I met Jim back in the 80s, when I was driving for Sorrento Express. Jim was working in the shop, I believe he was Parts Manager.  We were talking one day and he mentioned that he would like to take a trip to California. I said take a week vacation and let's go.  Management gave the ok and we're were off.  So we're shared the driving duties to California and back.  We took the southern route our I-40 and returned the northern route I-80.  I really enjoyed the trip and I'm sure he did. Sosorry to hear you moved on to smoother highways! Thoughts and prayers to the family. See ya in a better place!🙏

So sorry to hear about Smitty. I worked with him for many years at Sorrento and he was a great guy. I still ran into him at some of our annual Christmas get togethers but unfortunately I missed this years and I am sure he was there. He loved his classic car and sharing stories of his time at Sorrento. He will be missed by all.  My condolences to his family.    Mike Best

My deepest sympathy goes out to my very special friend Debbie,her son Brian and wife Jenn and Son Gavin,and family,My heart is broken You husband ,Dad,Grandpa was the SWEETEST man you ever met,he has been a long time friend since I was young,we shared many fun memories on Milestrip road.and on Angle road at there home,Jimmy always greeted you as you walked in his house,he would get up give you a hug and say what can I get you to drink,Such a kind man who always had a joke if the day…..Love talking and sharing his recipes and sauces he would buy to make a great meal.Always had a smile on his face,so kind and giving to everyone,I’m going to miss him dearly,Not sure why God chosen a Great man way to soon,We all are very saddened by him leaving everyone way to soon,he had many plans ahead to enjoy his retirement and spend time with Debbie at car shows he had So Much pride in his car,Debbie and him designed the interior chose everything together on the choice of colors tires and so much they did it together as they shared everyday life TOGETHER as one,even watched soap operas together ,what a special couple,I wish  I had the right words to comfort her and the family he was a one of a kind special guy,who always made me feel very welcome ,I will treasure all the great times we shared together,all the haircuts for many years ,Love you all ,I’m so heartbroken over a true friend for years Love Cheryl and David

My deepest condolences go out to Debbie and her family on the loss of Jimmy.  Jimmy was such a good soul, a good man, and a great friend to so many.  A great laugh, energy, friendly, caring, avid car enthusiast, "up and coming" golfer, and loyal friend.  I've enjoyed my time and conversations with Jimmy each and every time we got together.  He showed a casual demeanor that made people so welcomed!  Debbie, Brian, and family, my deepest thoughts are with all of you.  Keep the Faith!
