William (Bill) Albert Moreno, 93, of Royal Palm Beach, FL, passed away on .Sunday, February 12, 2023.
Bill was born on 11/06/1929 to Anna and Paul Moreno in White Plains, NY. He graduated from Cardinal Hayes High school in 1948. He was a veteran of the Korean War where he served 4 years in the U.S Air Force as a radar repairman. In that time, he was awarded a medal of Good Conduct and a medal of National Defense Service. Following his discharge, he established a painting and wallpaper company in South Florida. He was active in the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America where he held numerous positions, including president of the organization.
After losing his wife to cancer, Bill as a single dad with four children met and married Louise Kropp a widowed mother with four boys in Jupiter, FL in 1984. After retiring in 1997, Bill and Louise spent their time square dancing and traveling the country in their assortment of RVs & motorhomes visiting family, friends, and seeing the sites throughout this great country of ours. They have BLESSED all eight of us children and countless grandchildren and great grandchildren with so much love during their 39 years of marriage.
Bill was a lifetime member of the Roman Catholic Church, American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus, a man who loved his Faith, Family & Friends. As a dedicated Christian husband, father, and friend he was devoted to his faith and stayed a long-time member of his Cursillo Prayer Group. His interests included Jazz music, Scuba diving, boating, fishing, site seeing, and riding his motorcycle especially with his sons Randy & Ronnie and with his buddies in the Southern Cruisers motorcycle club.
William Moreno was predeceased by his mother and father, wife Julie, brother Paul, and granddaughter Amanda Adams. He is survived by his wife Louise and his children Christine (Rod) Walters, Don Moreno, Bill Jr. (Debbie) Moreno, and Randy (Donna) Moreno. Stepchildren Ron Kropp, Ken Kropp, Jerry (Jennifer) Kropp, Robert (Holly) Kropp. He also has many grandchildren and great grandchildren who he loved dearly, telling his stories over and over to them.
Bill (Dad) had a zest for life and enjoyed spending time with his family and loved ones. He had a life well lived and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
A visitation will be held at the Royal Palm Funeral Home, 5601 Greenwood Avenue, West Palm Beach, Fl. 33407 on Friday 02/17/23 from 5 PM - 8 PM. for a celebration of life. A Mass Service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 12 PM at Our Lady Queen Of The Apostles Catholic Church, 100 Crestwood Blvd., South, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.
An entombment will follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, 5601 Greenwood Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33407. A reception will occur at Royal Palm Funeral following the entombment.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to "The Lord's Place" or "St. Vincent de Paul" , two organizations Bill felt passionate about.
