SAMUEL SMITH age 82 of Greenacres, FL passed away peacefully on December 30, 2012 at his residence with his family by his side. Samuel was born on October 16, 1930 in West Palm Beach and in later years attended and graduated Palm Beach High Class of 1948. Sam was brought to the Masonic Body of Harmonia Lodge F&AM #138, West Palm Beach by his late father, Thomas Smith to be prepared as a Master Mason and he continued with his instruction at Palm Lodge F&AM #303, West Palm Beach until he reached his 32nd Degree. Samuel was the owner & operator of Smith’s Bakery, after retirement he continued to fill his spare time by serving on the homeowners association of Island Manor a River Bridge community. He also loved to tinker around, fixing items that needed repair and keeping a private patio garden/sanctuary at his home and in earlier years he enjoyed playing racquetball and participating in various sporting activities. He will be remembered as a “Jack of All Trades”, who could fix about any challenge that might come his way! Sam was also preceded in death by his mother, Rose (nee Devor) Smith. He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife, Peggy I. Smith; and his former wife & friend, Judy Smith of West Palm Beach, FL; his six children, Bill Trout and wife, Rita of West Palm Beach, FL, Tom Trout and wife, Janet of Cleveland, TN, Lisa Smith of West Palm Beach, FL, Sharon Byrne and husband, Tom of Plantation, FL, Tobi Smith of Boca Raton, FL, and Claudia Solga and husband, Dwayne of Minnesota; his sister, Ethel Zimberoff of Albuquerque, NM; seven grandchildren, Tiffany, Amanda, Lauren, Cailin, Catherin, Anais and April; and several nephews also survive him.
