Sam Manea

Sam Manea passed away peacefully at home in West Palm Beach, Florida with his wife by his side on August 1, 2023. He was 79. Sam was born February 14, 1944 in Bagdad, Iraq. Sam and his family moved to Rahmat Gan Israel in 1951. When he turned 18 he immigrated to the United States where he lived with his Aunt and Uncle in California and worked as a “short order cook and built houses.” Occasionally he would fry up his famous “GiGi” for his family. At 20, Sam moved to New York City where he lived with friends who introduced him to his future wife Myrna. They were married shortly after. Sam is survived by his wife Myrna of 58 years, his brother Yeshschel Manea, his three children Daniel Manea and his wife Susan Manea, Lynn Manea and her partner Kevin Crissey, Robert Manea and his wife Reina Manea, his 6 grandchildren, Scott Manea and his fiancé Jenna Koster, Lindsey Manea and her fiancé Rudy Valentini, Jared Moss and his partner Brianna Cole, Rachel Moss, Noah Manea and his fiancé Julia Patterson ,Emma Manea, and his 2 great-granddaughters Annabelle Rose Manea and Nessa Quinn Moss. They raised their family in Nanuet, NY where they lived for 33 years. Sam was a hardworking and loving man who preached family first.
