Ronald Davidson passed away on February 15, 2023 at his home in Wellington, FL. He was an accomplished artist and a loving husband, brother, and son. Born on March 12, 1944, Ron was raised in New York City by his parents Daniel and Ann Davidson. Ron held both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Engineering. He also earned an MBA with majors in Accounting and Finance. For over 30 years, he lived in Silicon Valley and worked as both an engineer and an executive recruiter for many major technology companies.
In 2004, Ron married the love of his life, Marianne, and they relocated to Wellington, Florida. Ron was able to retire early in his life and became an accomplished artist. He had an extensive background in acrylic painting, oil painting and sculpture, as well as hand-crafted clocks, flower pots, and jewelry. Ron was also a talented professional musician and Rock & Roll keyboard player. He enjoyed experimenting with new materials and techniques, such as iris folding and making humorous home video productions. Ron described his art as “exploring the whimsical side of landscapes and floral scenes” and “capturing a peaceful surreal feel with a touch of fantasy.” He was also an avid chess player.
Ron and Marianne enjoyed a happy, active, and vibrant life together. The couple regularly attended the Palm Beach Symphony, many charity balls, such as the Lady in Red and the Heart Balls, and spent many wonderful years as members of the National Croquet Center.
Ron is survived by his wife Marianne, his sister Leslie, his brother-in-law Stuart, his sister-in-law Francine, as well as many members of extended family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A private memorial service will be held in his honor at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the National Croquet Center.
