Nicholas Walter Coppola

"Nick",

of West Palm Beach, passed away June 15th at 74. He was born in 1940 in New York City to George Joseph Coppola and Marian Adee Coppola. In 1964 he married the love of his life, Marcy Hatt of Buffalo. Nick was preceded in death by his beloved Marcy in 2005, his son Christopher, and siblings George and Jeanne. He is survived by nieces and nephews Theresa and John Dzmitrowicz, Joseph Coppola, Karen Hoffner, Mary Ann Hooper, Elizabeth McClain, Gregory and Katie Hatt, and Timothy, Patrick, Sean, and Kevin Stanton, and many great nieces and nephews. Nick played a very active role in all activities related to raising son Christopher, including baseball coach and Indian Guides. He enjoyed going to the beach every morning and lunching with old friends every day. Nick was a wonderful and very charitable husband, father, uncle, surrogate grandfather, and friend to many people in the Palm Beach area.

Nick grew up in Palm Beach and attended Palm Beach High School. He resided briefly in the Blowing Rock, N.C. area where he extended his successful profession of real estate investor.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at QUATTLEBAUM FUNERAL, CREMATION & EVENT CENTER at HILLCREST, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33405. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 PM on Thursday until service time. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Community Foundation in honor of the Christopher Coppola memorial scholarship fund.
