Marjorie Ann “Marge” (Polhemus) Ovsiovitch of Coral Springs, Florida went to be with the Lord on December 6th, 2022, with loved ones at her side. Marge was born on March 25, 1935, in Spring Valley, New York to Calvin and Ida Polhemus. She was predeceased by her parents, Calvin and Ida Polhemus, sister Janet, husband Arnold Ovsiovitch, and daughter Mona Van Dunk. All her life Marge wanted to live in Florida, and she got her wish in 1975. Marge resided in Palm Beach Gardens, then Port St. Lucie, and finally Coral Springs, Florida.
Marge is survived by her children; David Yatto and his wife Donna, Richard Yatto and his wife Simone, Janet Bonnette and her husband Mark, Karen Hornburg and her husband Karl, Faith Pattavina and her husband Dan, Lorri Robbins, and JoAnn Piatt. Marge is also survived by her brother Calvin “Buster” Polhemus Jr., 19 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and other loving friends.
Marge had an extensive secretarial career culminating as an executive secretary for a Senior Vice President at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft from where she retired. She will be missed for her interest and concern for others, infectious belly laugh, and kindness to all. Marge enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, and knitting. Of all the volunteer positions she held, the one she was proudest of was tutoring school children and was affectionately known as “Mrs. O”. Marge was always up for an adventure, especially if it involved shopping, meeting new people, and seeing new places.
Marge’s final resting place will be Germonds Presbyterian Church in New City, New York along with her parents and sister.
