Joe was born on March 11, 1942, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, but moved at a young age to New York City. New York always held a big piece of his heart even when he moved to Florida to escape the cold. Joe met his wife Barbara in Florida on a blind date. They were married for 50 years before she sadly passed away in 2022.
Joe had a mischievous sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh, occasionally with a little trouble making. He loved music especially oldies and dancing. Joe would sing out loud with glee whenever given the chance no matter the situation or the people around. Joe loved to eat and would try everything, but especially loved dessert and a fresh cup of coffee.
Joe spent many years in hospitality around Palm Beach County. He enjoyed his time at the Breakers and PGA National where he would say he got to work at the best parties and see amazing entertainers. Joe could be quiet but everyone who met him considered him a friend.
Joe was a funny and loving person with a caring soul. We will remember him for his big heart and playful sense of humor.
Joe will be very missed and is survived by his daughter Staci Morales-Fuchs, son-in-law Jeffrey Fuchs and grandson Jacob Fuchs, as well as his brother Pastor Morales and number nieces and nephews. Jose is predeceased by his beloved wife Barbara, his father Luis Morales, mother Cora Morales, and sister Rosa Soto.
Joe’s family will be arranging a memorial service after the holidays.
