It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Jacqueline Jane McMahon Schaub, age 88, of West Palm Beach, Florida. She died on Friday, December 25th, 2020 of natural causes. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Thomas McMahon and Gladys Amundson McMahon, she was a resident of South Florida since 1972. Jackie was a graduate of St. Mary’s College in South Bend, Indiana - class of 1953. She enjoyed a business career in Interior Design and Real Estate.
She was nicknamed “Muzzy” by her eldest granddaughter, Mary. All who knew Muzzy, loved her. Her incredible calm, sense of style and wit will be forever remembered. She always rose to the occasion no matter the circumstance. Her devotion to family was inspiring and angelic.
Muzzy is survived by her four children: Edward Jerome "E.J." Schaub, Jr. of Willacoochee, GA, Mary "Mimi" Schaub Epling and Stephen Epling of Highlands Ranch, CO, Katharine Schaub King and Robert King of West Palm Beach, FL, and Nancy Schaub Vera and Rodrigo Vera of Delray Beach, FL; and four grandchildren: Mary Dolan Epling, Stephen Berrill Epling, Jr., Jacqueline Grace McMahon Vera and Cristian Alejandro Vera. Additional survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
The family has chosen to postpone services due to Covid. Jackie will be buried alongside her beloved husband Edward Jerome Schaub at Arlington National Cemetery. He preceeded her in death in 2004. January 8th would have been their 66th wedding anniversary.
