Howard Allen Hirsch, 83, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2012. Mr. Hirsch was the beloved husband of Miriam (Mimi) for almost 61 years, loving father of Ellen (and Donald) Brounstein, Ruth Haas and Stephen (and Emily) Hirsch, adoring grandfather of Alexander, Amy, Gilad, Eitan, Nadav, Ma’ayan, Victor, Peter and Adam. Born in Brooklyn, Howard spent most of his adult life with his family in New Jersey where he was a licensed NY state real estate broker, CEO/COO of Padar Realty Company and Andros Realty Company until his retirement in 1996 and a member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO). During this time, he served on the Board of Directors of Welbilt Corporation and the Real Estate Board of NY. He was known for his many philanthropic and volunteer endeavors, sitting the Board of Directors of Daughters of Israel Geriatric Center and UJA Metro-West NJ, was Campaign Chairman of Israel Bonds Metro-West NJ, Vice President and Board of Directors of Schneider Children’s Medical Center in Israel, Yeshiva University High School and Fight For Sight Organization as well as Greenbrook Country Club Finance committee and Polo Club (Florida) POA Board. Upon moving to Florida, he continued to be actively involved in his many causes. Howard was a talented and generous man with a passion for the arts and a wonderful sense of humor. Among his many interests, he was an accomplished sculptor and artist. He will be mourned by all who knew him. Funeral services will be graveside at Star of David Cemetery, 9321 Memorial Park Road, West Palm Beach, Florida on Sunday at 11 AM.
