Florene “Lolo” Descartes entered fully into the presence of the Lord on Friday, August 19th, 2022 at the age of 92.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to 8 children, 15 grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Florene was born in Boucan-Carre, Haiti to Lova and Elisia on January 28, 1930. She was married in 1958 to a gentleman Albert who was the love her life. She always made sure that her children were taken care of by working hard and sacrificing. She would spend all day selling produce to make sure she was able to feed her children. Spending time with her family was very important for her. She enjoyed cooking for her family and wasn’t satisfied unless your stomach was full of food. She loved being around loved ones and telling stories of the past. Although, there was nothing she loved more than the Lord. She always made sure to tell others to make sure to put the Lord before everything else in her life. Her smile, her life, her spirit and love of the will be dearly missed.
