Glenn Albert Torrens

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glenn A. Torrens on August 17, 2024. He is remembered lovingly by his wife of 38-years Katherine and was a proud father to daughters Elizabeth and Emily. Glenn will also be deeply missed by his mother-in-law Audrey, sister-in-law Leslie and his (almost) son-in-law Cameron. Glenn was predeceased by his father William and mother Gertrude. He is survived by Lloyd (Ruth) and Dianne, and their children Kelly, Chad and Leah.

Glenn was an avid gardener, lawn enthusiast, and blueberry connoisseur. He enjoyed the opportunities he had to puppy-sit (to the surprise of his daughters, since he was much less supportive when Emily would ask for a puppy of her own). He looked forward to regularly gathering for coffee with his fellow retired CBSA colleagues, which was a change from his morning coffee routine with Kathy, when he would also challenge Beth at word puzzles. He enjoyed getting out to chat with the neighbours, and he also spent time volunteering with the local school and within the water polo community.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to Giffen-Mack Funeral Home & Cremation Centre. Kathy, Beth and Emily would also like to extend their appreciation to all of those who have offered kind words, support and fond memories during this time.
