Doreen Marie Morse

Beloved mother of Kelly (Tom), Julie (Mike), and Michael (Marlene). Greatest Granny to Conor (Sharon), Brynne (David), Paige (Stefan), Devan, Quinton (Amanda), Katrina and Karsen. Loving sister to Patricia St. Amand, Auntie Doe to many nieces and nephews, and a friend to many.

Doreen married Buck Morse in Sault Ste. Marie in May of 1961. They moved to Ottawa for 5 years, before eventually moving to West Hill where they settled and raised their family. Doreen continued her nursing career at the Altamont Seniors Home for several years before moving to the West Hill Community Services, where she worked well into her 70's, enjoying a satisfying career lasting over 50 years.

After retiring, Doreen travelled with friends, joined book clubs, and could be found winning in bingo halls and casinos. She joined a progressive bridge club, played cards at the church league, did supper clubs, had a "Lunch Bunch", was a member of CWL, and spent time with her many cherished friends and family.

There will be a mass held in her honour on Friday, March 8th, 2024 from 11am-12pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 200 Morrish Road, Scarborough, M1C 1E8. Immediately followed by a Celebration of Life at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 258, 305 Morrish Road, Scarborough, M1C 1E9, until 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arthritis Society, the Diabetes Foundation, or St. Joseph's Church.
