William “Bill” Henry Finn,III, age 93, passed away peacefully on October 25,2024. Born in Marlborough, MA, Bill was the eldest of three children born to William Henry Finn, Jr. and Anna Teresa (Ahern). A proud veteran, he served in the U.S. Army in cryptography during the Korean War.
Bill spent his career in sales for Standard Packaging and Union Camp, specializing in packaging machinery and materials. After living for many years in Dennis Port, MA, he retired to Naples, FL, where he and his beloved wife, Geraldine “Geri” (Pizzuto), enjoyed a life filled with travel, theater, and good company. Together, they explored the world, first by land and air, then later by sea, finding joy in their many cruising adventures. They were gracious hosts and cherished sharing their home with family and friends. In his younger years, Bill loved hunting and fishing, and as he grew older, he found peace in shellfishing along the Cape Cod rivers and bays.
Bill was a grateful father to his daughters Kathleen (Donald) Gorski, Kerri Carney, and his son, William “Sandy” Finn. He took pride in his grandchildren, Kaleigh, Molly, and Emily Finn; Matt (Jenna) Gorski; Sarah Gorski; William (Emmeline) Carney; Lauren Carney; Meagan (Jon) Schermerhorn, as well as his great-grandchildren, Jack and Finn Schermerhorn.
He is also survived by his sister, Anna (Ken) Steinle, and was predeceased by his brother, John (MaryLou) Finn.
Bill’s legacy is one of love, family, and adventure. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Bill at Holy Trinity Church, Rt. 28, West Harwich, on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
